Sheppard Morose is a St. Louis–based contemporary artist recognized for her disciplined use of color, geometric structure, and large-scale compositions created for sophisticated residential and architectural settings. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from the University of Illinois at Champaign–Urbana, with additional studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
With a 20-year career and more than 650 works placed in private collections in the United States and France, her practice has also been selected by leading corporations and institutions. Her portfolio includes significant commissions for Centene Corporation, SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center, BJC HealthCare, Stifel Financial, The Staenberg Group, and other national organizations. Her first major project—21 archival prints and a site-specific mural—established a long-standing preference among corporate clients for her precise, architecturally aligned aesthetic.
Influenced by modern masters such as Ellsworth Kelly, Helen Frankenthaler, Henri Matisse, and Alexander Calder, Morose’s work reflects a commitment to clarity, scale, and intentional color. Raised by a fine-arts-trained mother and a civil engineer father, she developed an early eye for structured beauty and refined design.

It is also a privilege to install her art in the spaces I have worked diligently on—sometimes for years—knowing that it will elevate the environment we have curated.
